Question GIF or PNG?

GIF known as Graphic Interchange Format developed by Unisys had complex license issue over past and then it was replaced by PNG.

In 2003 I guess it was made free and any one could use this format in their website.

Many of the web browsers like Mozilla are working to make full support for the PNG knwon as Portable Network Graphics.

Mozilla is also working on Animated Portable Network Graphics in short APNG format.

So which format you will prefer?
